Two-Headed Reboot

After 3 years with the same basic blog design, we’ve decided to make a change. It’s pretty much the same layout as before, just a different look. I think it looks a little cleaner than before.  The theme is a lot easier to work with, so I may still tinker here and there in the future to get things where we want them.

That being said, Two-Headed Blog is officially over 4 years old (and that was after 2 years of sporadic blogging under a different name). Who knows how much life is left in this thing…

At any rate, I’m going to pop back into this blog and contribute whenever inspiration strikes. Sarah’s been holding down the fort quite well as I took a hiatus from this blog. I’ll still be throwing down some brief thoughts on movies over at The Filmcake, but I’ll be joining the fray here as well.

Question of the Day #202

Last night, President Obama met with Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Cambridge Police Sgt. James Crowley for a chat and a beer. Much has been made of the beer choices – Bud Light for Obama, Sam Adams Light for Gates, and Blue Moon for Crowley (last-minute attendee Joe Biden drank a non-alcoholic beer). Today’s question, then, is this:

If you were to meet with the president for a beer, which beer would you choose?

Question of the Day #201

No Question today. Instead, I’m declaring an Open Thread Day!

Please feel free to talk about whatever you like. Tell a joke, rant your little heart out, or just tell us about your week. It’s all you, baby.

On the Origin…

While visiting the Sam Noble Oklahoma Natural History Museum on Saturday (love the exhibit redesign, by the way), Dwight and I spotted a Charles Darwin doll at the gift shop. “Awww, how cool is that,” we exclaimed, and promptly moved on.

Later, over Swirls at the Mont, we found ourselves still talking about that Darwin doll, and how we wished we’d bought him. We could’ve taken a picture of Charlie with a Swirl by the koi pond, we mused. This quickly turned into a discussion of Charlie as our own unique version of the traveling  garden gnome (or can of SPAM). We could take pictures of him at all kinds of crazy locations. We could take him with us whenever we traveled (assuming we ever travel again). In the meantime, we could take pictures of him at all our favorite spots around the Metro. It cracked us up, this idea of ours.

So, we finished our Swirls and sped back to the Sam Noble gift shop. Happily, Charlie was still there. And now, he’s ours.

So without further ado, I present to you the very first of Charlie’s Adventures:
