Interesting article. I don't agree with him, but I think his viewpoint is certainly more compelling than many others on the subject. I certainly respect someone who has taken the time and effort to consider why they are killing an animal rather than doing it mindlessly. Not sure if that makes it any more right or wrong, but it certainly makes it seem better.

I'm not a hunter, but If there was ever an argument for hunting, there's this article in The Sun Magazine on responsible subsistence hunting from a former Oklahoman. BTW, He abhors the NRA and recreational hunting, if that will help lead anyone to this article.

From the Sun: "The Good Hunter"

Peter Singer said that killing babies is okay. Not only is it wrong to kill fetuses, but it's wrong to kill babies.

Peter Singer should move to Israel before someone like me knifes him.

It's hard to get protein outside of meat. I didn't read all of your article, and maybe you said that, but protein's good for you. You really only need protein and vegetables. I wonder if there is some way to extract protein from live animals without hurting them and then sell it in a way that's consummable and profitable?

We did see Anvil! The Story of Anvil. I forgot to update that.

I just haven't felt like blogging at all. I think I might be done.

I think it's probably more shameful that I've seen Dirty Dancing at least a dozen times. It even scares me.

I guess we've both been wandering around outside of the blogosphere for a while. At least Sarah has an excuse (school). I have managed to catch a couple of movies in the last couple of weeks...but mostly we've been using our Netflix queue lately to catch up on the Supernatural TV series so we could get caught up for the final season which started recently.
